Winner 2023

Lite + Fog GmbH from Berlin is the winner of the DLG Impulse Pitches 2023. The start-up won the final round of live pitches on 15 November.

The live presentations by five pioneers took place at the "Inhouse Farming - Feed & Food Show" of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) as part of Agritechnica 2023 in Hanover. Lite + Fog presented its innovation, the Fog Ponic Module, in front of an expert audience and impressed the expert jury. In addition to the depth of innovation and practical relevance, the aspects of cost-effectiveness and improvement of the environmental and energy situation were decisive for the win.

Fopgponic Farming Module

The automated Fogponic Farming Modules offer a number of advantages. The hygienic standard enables the cultivation of plants and herbs for pharmaceutical projects. For example, it is possible to grow insulin in lettuce or an mRNA vaccine in tobacco plants. This is a completely new and fascinating field of agriculture, "Plant Molecular Farming".
