DLG - Impulse Pitches: Inhouse Farming, Feed & Food

For the first time a prize will be awarded at the Inhouse Farming - Feed & Food Show at AGRITECHNICA 2023 to products and concepts that are particularly innovative in character and should be given special prominence in order to document their importance within the value chain: the DLG-Impulse Pitches Inhouse Farming, Feed & Food.

Who may take part?

Participation is open to exhibitors at AGRITECHNICA 2023 as well as suppliers and concept providers who are not exhibiting at AGRITECHNICA 2023. Participation is voluntary and not associated with any additional direct costs.

The Jury

The jury is an independent commission of recognized experts from research and teaching as well as representatives from industry and practice.

The jury is subject to a code of ethics (compliance regulation) and meets the requirements of:

  • Independence and neutrality
  • Competence to assess the registered     products / concepts
  • Practical orientation
  • Research & teaching

The following information is required:

  • Brief description

Describe your product/concept as well as the field of application and highlight in which way it is especially innovative and particularly groundbreaking in improving food and/or feed production.
(max. 500 characters).

What is the potential market relevance of your product/concept (especially from an economic point of view? (max. 1,000 characters)

Considering the above listed questions, please highlight your product/concept in terms of the following features:

Submit at least one picture and optionally a link to a product video for better understanding.

How does it all work?

The selection of the award winner(s) takes place in two stages.

Stage 1 - Determination of nominees: On the basis of the submitted documents, the jury determines the list of nominees (shortlist) by referring to the predefined criteria. This is being done on the basis of a point evaluation. The nominees will be given the opportunity to present their product / concept live to the trade fair audience at the Inhouse Farming - Feed & Food Show during AGRITECHNICA 2023. 

Stage 2 - Determination of the winner: The nominees take part in the final round of the competition in the form of short presentations ("Impulse Pitches"). Each participant has the chance to fully convince the expert committee of their product/concept in a 10-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute discussion round. For the content of the DLG Impulse Pitches, the participants receive a predefined set of questions from the DLG in advance. After the pitches, the winning products / concepts will be awarded by the commission on site at the Inhouse Farming - Feed & Food Show 2023.
